A Message From NAMM

A Message From NAMM
John Mlynczak

Greetings NAMM Members and Industry Professionals,

As we reflect on The NAMM Show last week and the year ahead of us, I keep coming back to one word: unity.

Whether we are facing challenges or seizing opportunities, we know we are stronger when we work together. And we are stronger because we gather annually. I want to thank you all for your commitment to NAMM and our industry. We recognize the time and resources you invest to attend The NAMM Show, and we are committed to working year-round to ensure our industry’s global gathering is successful for you.

We remain in touch with our impacted members from the wildfires in Los Angeles and have begun disbursing relief funds and collaborating with our partners. Our efforts to support those impacted will continue throughout the year.

Looking ahead, we are preparing for our Washington D.C. Fly-In from May 5–8 and NAMM NeXT in Nashville from June 29–July 1. We will also continue to deliver Industry Insights and provide year-round opportunities to strengthen the industry. In 2026, we celebrate 125 years of NAMM since our founding in 1901, and we are already planning for an epic event to mark this historic milestone.

I will close with a final thought based on several inspirational moments last week. Victor Wooten spoke about spending more than 40 years working on his “gift” of music. There were many moments during The NAMM Show where we witnessed companies and individuals expressing their strong desire to give support to each other. As an industry, if we all focus on giving, then we all benefit from an abundance of gifts. Whereas, if we only focus on what we expect to receive, then gifts have no place to originate. As your association, we will carry forward the lessons, energy and gifts we received last week to continue our focus on giving all year to support our members and the entire music products industry.

Wishing you all a very successful 2025,

John Mlynczak
NAMM President and CEO
